Overview

The Billy Goat QV900HSPEU QuietVac is a petrol-powered, self-propelled vacuum for contractor and municipal clean-up on hard surfaces. Its 84cm (33in) working width, hydrostatic drive and 136-litre collection bag make it suited to clearing leaves, grass and other loose debris across larger managed areas. Powered by a 9HP Honda GX270 engine, the QV900HSPEU combines manoeuvrability with features designed to help manage dust when collecting dry debris. Billy Goat describes its QV Series as the world's quietest petrol-powered vacuum; QuietVac noise figures are listed as low as 77 dBa at full rpm under the stated conditions.

Key Features

  • 84cm (33in) working width for contractor and municipal hard-surface clean-up.
  • 9HP Honda GX270 petrol engine with recoil starting.
  • Self-propelled hydrostatic transmission with infinitely variable forward and reverse speeds from 0 to 4.8km/h.
  • 136-litre turf bag with four hooks for loading and unloading.
  • Cyclonic filtration, Dust Sock™ secondary filtration and a standard bag dust skirt to help reduce dust in dry conditions.
  • Six-blade serrated impeller and metal housing.
  • Manufacturer-stated debris reduction of 12:1 for composting in dry conditions.

Collection and dust management

The QV900HSPEU is designed to collect leaves, grass and other loose debris from hard surfaces. Its 136-litre bag provides capacity for collection, while four hooks assist with bag loading and unloading.

For dry and dusty conditions, the machine combines cyclonic filtration and an electrostatic Dust Sock™ secondary filter with a dust skirt fitted to the debris bag. Billy Goat states that the system dramatically reduces dust in dry conditions.

Self-propelled operation and manoeuvrability

Hydrostatic drive provides infinitely variable forward and reverse speeds from 0 to 4.8km/h, allowing the operator to adjust travel speed to suit the working area. Handlebar clutches assist manoeuvring in restricted spaces, while front casters are designed to roll through turns and over uneven surfaces.

Performance and noise

The six-blade serrated impeller is designed to provide suction and reduce debris volume. Billy Goat states a 12:1 debris reduction for composting in dry conditions.

QuietVac noise figures are listed as low as 97 LWa / 77 dBa at full rpm and 96 LWa / 76 dBa at 2,800rpm. These are manufacturer-stated figures; actual noise will depend on operating conditions.

Compatible accessories

Compatible items include a collapsible hose kit (part 831018), liner sleeve for sandy conditions (part 831610), parking brake kit (part 831609) and 136-litre replacement bag (part 831617). These are accessories or replacement parts, not stated as included with the vacuum.
