Overview
The Billy Goat QV550HSPEU is a self-propelled petrol vacuum for contractor and municipal clean-up work on hard surfaces. Its 84cm (33in) working width and 136-litre collection bag are suited to clearing leaves, grass and other loose debris across larger areas such as parks, campuses, streets and pavements. Powered by a 163cc Honda GX160 engine, the QV550HSPEU combines hydrostatic drive with a six-blade serrated impeller. Billy Goat’s QV QuietVac range is designed to reduce operating noise, while its dust-management system helps control dust in dry conditions.
Key Features
- 84cm (33in) working width for covering substantial hard-surface areas.
- Self-propelled hydrostatic drive with infinitely variable forward and reverse speeds from 0 to 4.8km/h.
- 163cc Honda GX160 petrol engine with recoil starting.

- Manufacturer-quoted debris reduction of 12:1 for composting in dry conditions.
For hard-surface clean-up
The QV550HSPEU is positioned for contractor and municipal clean-up, with applications including parks, campuses, hospitals, streets and pavements. Its wide working width helps cover larger areas, while the 136-litre bag provides capacity for collecting loose debris as you work.
Self-propelled hydrostatic drive
Hydrostatic self-propelled drive provides infinitely variable forward and reverse speeds from 0 to 4.8km/h, allowing the operator to adjust travel speed to suit the work area. Handlebar clutches assist manoeuvring in restricted spaces, and front casters are designed to roll smoothly through turns and over uneven surfaces.
Dust management and noise
The standard debris-bag dust skirt works with cyclonic filtration and an electrostatic DUST SOCK™ secondary filter to help reduce dust in dry conditions. Billy Goat describes the QV Series as its quietest petrol-powered vacuum range. Published figures for the QUIETVAC are as low as 97 LWa / 77 dBa at full rpm and 96 LWa / 76 dBa at 2,800 rpm.
Impeller and debris reduction
A six-blade serrated impeller assists suction and debris reduction. Billy Goat states a 12:1 debris reduction ratio for composting in dry conditions; actual results depend on the debris and working conditions.
