Overview

The Hansa C13 is a petrol-powered wood chipper for processing branches and woody material up to 90mm in diameter. Its 13HP Honda GX390 engine drives a twin-belt system and 560mm cutting disc, while the gravity-fed, self-feeding design helps draw material into the cutting mechanism. A 270° swivel outlet lets the operator direct the discharged 10–15mm woodchip towards a stockpile, trailer or suitable collection area.

Chipping capacity and discharge

With a maximum stated capacity of 90mm, the C13 is suited to chipping branches and other woody material within that limit. Its gravity-fed, self-feeding inlet is designed to draw material towards the cutting disc, reducing the need to push each piece through manually.

The 270° swivel outlet can be turned to direct the resulting 10–15mm woodchip where it is needed, such as towards a stockpile or trailer. The outlet is 1,400mm high, so consider the intended discharge position and receiving equipment when assessing the machine's fit for your work.

Engine and cutting system

Power comes from a 13HP / 9.5kW Honda GX390 petrol engine with recoil starting and a 6-litre fuel tank. The engine drives the 560mm cutting disc through twin belts; the disc weighs 36kg and operates at 2,000rpm.

Two A8 modified tool-steel knives, measuring 200 x 58 x 10mm, provide the cutting edges. The specified engine oil grade is SAE 10W30 or SAE 10W40, with an oil fill of 1.1 litres. Follow the machine and engine manuals for operation, maintenance and servicing.

Size, handling and operating noise

The C13 measures 1,450 x 930 x 1,490mm and weighs 202kg. Its 400mm pneumatic wheels assist with moving the machine, while its weight should be considered when planning transport and positioning.

Hansa warranty

Standard Hansa machine warranty is 12 months for domestic use and 12 months for commercial use excluding hire; commercial hire cover is 3 months. Eligible domestic and commercial non-hire customers may qualify for extended cover up to 36 months total or 1,000 hours, whichever occurs first. Commercial hire is excluded from extended cover.

Extended cover requires purchase from an authorised Hansa dealer, registration by machine serial number within 10 days of purchase, scheduled servicing by a Hansa dealer in accordance with the relevant manual, and use of genuine Hansa parts.
