Overview

The EGO ST1610E-T is a cordless line trimmer designed for trimming grass and vegetation around lawn edges, fences and other areas that are difficult to reach with a mower. Its brushless motor, 40cm cutting width and variable-speed control provide the operator with control over the cutting action, while Line IQ™ automatically feeds the line without requiring the head to be bumped on the ground. Powerload™ makes reloading line easier by automatically loading it into the trimmer head. A single-shoulder harness and quick-adjust auxiliary handle are included. The trimmer is part of EGO’s 56V ARC Lithium™ tool platform; batteries and charger are not specified as included.

Controlled trimming and automatic line feed

The 40cm cutting width helps cover ground when maintaining lawn edges and clearing grass or light vegetation. Variable speed and digital two-speed modes let the operator adjust the trimmer’s operating speed to suit the task.

Line IQ™ feeds the cutting line automatically, so there is no need to tap the head against the ground to release more line. The Powerload™ head also automates line loading, reducing the manual effort involved when replacing line.

EGO 56V battery platform and runtime

The ST1610E-T works with EGO’s 56V ARC Lithium™ battery platform, which is shared across the brand’s compatible 56V tools. Runtime depends on the battery used and working conditions. EGO quotes up to 42 minutes with a 2.5Ah BA1400T battery, up to 84 minutes with a 5Ah BA2800T, and up to 168 minutes with a 10Ah BA5600T.

Handling and warranty

The trimmer weighs 3.4kg without a battery and measures 184cm in total length. Its quick-adjust auxiliary handle and included single-shoulder harness provide additional options for setting up the tool for use.
