Powerload™ line loading and trimming control

The Powerload™ head automatically loads replacement line, simplifying a routine part of line-trimmer maintenance. The dual-line head uses 2.4mm line and has a 35cm cutting width.

Variable-speed control and two speed modes let the operator adjust the trimmer’s running speed for the task. The brushless motor runs at no-load speeds of 3,000–5,800rpm.

Adjustable working position

The loop handle is designed for quick adjustment, and the trimmer’s total length can be set between 165cm and 183cm. These adjustments help the operator find a practical position for edging and trimming work. The tool weighs 3.4kg without a battery.

EGO 56V battery platform and runtime

The ST1400E-ST works with EGO 56V ARC Lithium™ batteries, which EGO states are compatible across its 56V tool range, with robotic mowers excluded. Runtime varies by battery: EGO quotes up to 60 minutes with the BA1400T 2.5Ah, 90 minutes with the BA2242T 4Ah, 120 minutes with the BA2800T 5Ah and up to 240 minutes with the BA5600T 10Ah. These are maximum stated runtimes for the specified batteries, not guaranteed working times.

EGO describes its Power+ range as intended for regular domestic use. The ST1400E-ST may suit homeowners and groundskeepers looking for a cordless trimmer for routine grass and vegetation maintenance.
