Overview

The EGO RMR3000E is an AURA-R2 robotic lawn mower designed for wire-free mowing of lawns up to a recommended 3,000m². PATH IQ™ navigation combines real-time kinematic satellite positioning, visual inertial odometry and visual mapping to map the lawn, plan systematic stripe-pattern routes and correct the mower’s path as it works. A virtual boundary system and app-based control remove the need for a boundary wire, while binocular stereo vision helps the mower identify and avoid obstacles.

Wire-free navigation and lawn mapping

The RMR3000E uses PATH IQ™ to navigate without a boundary wire. The system combines real-time kinematic satellite positioning with visual inertial odometry and visual simultaneous localisation and mapping, using binocular vision to map and navigate the mowing area.

Fast, straightforward mapping and flexible PATH IQ™ antenna positioning options help adapt the setup to the lawn. The mower maps, adapts and corrects its path in real time, and can plan systematic stripe-pattern routes for organised coverage.

The virtual boundary system supports up to 20 mowing zones. The narrowest stated passage width is 102cm, a useful measurement to check against access routes between lawn areas.

Cutting performance and lawn suitability

A 24cm cutting width and brushless mowing motor support regular robotic mowing, with electronic height adjustment from 20mm to 90mm to suit the required grass length.

EGO gives a recommended mowing area of up to 3,000m² and a daily mowing area of 2,500m² over 24 hours. Stated figures also include 180m² per hour mowing efficiency, up to two hours mowing time per charge and 330m² mowing area per charge. Actual results may vary with lawn layout and operating conditions.

The mower is specified for slopes of up to 50%. Rainfall detection pauses mowing to help protect the lawn, while the night-mode fill light supports operation in low-light conditions.

Obstacle avoidance, connectivity and security

Binocular stereo vision helps the mower detect and avoid obstacles, with a 180-degree front bumper providing an additional physical feature at the front of the machine.

Use the EGO Connect App to control the mower through Bluetooth, Wi-Fi or 4G. Three years of data are included. Built-in GPS, remote locking and theft tracking add useful location and security functions. Firmware can be updated over the air.

IP66-rated construction provides protection against dust and water ingress.

The RMR3000E has a three-year machine warranty and a two-year battery warranty, subject to EGO’s applicable warranty terms.
