Overview

New for 2026, the EGO HTX7500S is a PRO X hedge trimmer with a 75cm single-sided blade and a large debris scoop to collect clippings as you work. Its brushless motor, three-speed digital control and variable-speed trigger let the operator adjust cutting speed to suit the task, while the LED display shows the selected speed. Designed for use with EGO PRO X backpack battery and harness systems, it is suited to demanding hedge maintenance where blade reach, cutting control and extended working time matter.

Cutting control and blade design

The 75cm blade provides a long cutting reach along hedges, while its single-sided layout and debris scoop are designed to catch clippings during cutting. The 30mm blade gap and 24mm tooth depth are useful considerations when assessing the trimmer for the growth you regularly maintain.

The dual-action cutting system uses a triple-knife edge. A blade-tip protector helps protect the end of the blade when working near walls or other hard surfaces. EGO’s full-size hedge trimmers use laser-cut, diamond-ground blades for clean, precise cutting.

Speed settings and operation

Choose between three no-load speeds of 3,000, 3,500 and 4,600rpm using the digital selector; the LED display indicates the selected setting. The variable-speed trigger gives further control while operating, so the cutting response can be adjusted to the work in hand.

A dual-trigger system is provided for operation. The blade-adjustment screw is designed to make sharpening safer and faster. The trimmer also has a built-in Bluetooth module with connected-status indication.

Battery system and runtime

The HTX7500S is designed for EGO PRO X backpack battery and harness systems. EGO’s 56V ARC Lithium™ batteries work across its 56V tool range, including PRO X tools; robotic mowers are excluded from that battery system.

EGO quotes runtimes of up to 125 minutes with a 2.5Ah BA1400T battery, 205 minutes with a 4Ah BA2242T, 245 minutes with a 5Ah BA2800T, 300 minutes with a 6Ah BA3360T, 370 minutes with a 7.5Ah BA4200T, 395 minutes with an 8Ah BA4480X, 495 minutes with a 10Ah BA5600T, 595 minutes with a 12Ah BA6720T and 950 minutes with a 28Ah BAX1500. These are maximum quoted runtimes for the named batteries; actual runtime varies with use and working conditions.
