Cutting performance and control

The 65cm blade provides a broad cutting reach for maintaining wider or long hedges. Its laser-cut, diamond-ground teeth and dual-action, double-edged cutting arrangement are designed for trimming work where a clean, controlled cut is important.

The HT6510E has two speed settings, with no-load speeds of 3,000 and 3,600rpm. This lets the operator select between the available cutting speeds to suit the task. The adjustable rotating rear handle helps accommodate different hand positions while working along hedge faces and tops.

Updated for 2026

EGO describes the HT6510E as an evolution of the HT6500E, with longer runtime, smoother operation, faster cutting and easier servicing. The manufacturer states that the 2026 update provides 33% more runtime and 40% less vibration than the previous model.

A magnesium-alloy gearbox is identified as part of the updated design. The product weighs 3.5kg without a battery.

Runtime and EGO 56V battery compatibility

These are manufacturer-stated maximum runtimes for the specified battery models; actual runtime will vary with working conditions and use.

EGO states that its 56V ARC Lithium™ batteries are compatible across its 56V tool range, including PRO X tools. Check battery and charger requirements when selecting the configuration for your work.
