Power and cell technology

With 8.0Ah capacity and 448Wh of energy, the BA4480X is suited to customers seeking a higher-capacity EGO battery for demanding cordless work. EGO states that its Tabless Cell Technology provides up to 40% higher output power than an equivalent-capacity battery using standard cells.

The battery uses an ARC-shaped design, part of EGO's approach to managing heat across its 56V battery platform. The BA4480X does not use KeepCool™ phase-change material.

Battery monitoring and protection

Built-in Bluetooth enables inventory management and charge-status monitoring. A battery-level indicator provides a direct check of remaining charge, while self-diagnosis supports awareness of the battery's condition.

IPX5-rated weather-resistant construction is designed to help the battery withstand exposure to wet working conditions. EGO's portable battery design also uses resin coating and a shock- and vibration-absorbing case to help protect against dust, moisture, shock and vibration.

Compatibility and charging

EGO states that its 56V ARC Lithium batteries work across the EGO Power+ 56V tool range, including PRO X equipment. Robotic mowers are excluded from this battery system.

Charge time depends on the charger used: EGO quotes 160 minutes with the CH2100E, 105 minutes with the CH3200E, 65 minutes with the CH5500E and 50 minutes with the CH7000E-T. With the PGX2500PB, the stated fast charge time is 20 minutes.

Warranty

The BA4480X has a five-year domestic warranty and a three-year professional warranty, subject to EGO's applicable warranty terms. EGO states that an extended warranty of up to five years is available when the battery is registered within 30 days of purchase.
