Overview
The Billy Goat BC2601HM is a self-propelled walk-behind brushcutter for clearing dense vegetation across fields, meadows, rough ground and paths. Its fixed, rear-discharge deck and reinforced blade spindle are designed for demanding cutting conditions, while the Honda GXV390 engine provides 389cc of power. The machine is specified to cut thick brush, grass and weeds over 180cm tall, as well as saplings up to 5cm in diameter.
Key Features
- Honda GXV390 389cc engine rated at 10.2HP.
- 26-inch (approximately 66cm) cutting width and fixed cutting height of 9.5cm.
- Self-propelled geared transmission with three forward gears and one reverse gear.
- Rigid fixed rear-discharge deck designed for stability in deep vegetation.
- Blade spindle reinforced in four directions for demanding cutting conditions.
- Angled, wide control handles with padded grips and guards; forward and reverse controls are operated from the handles.
- Manufacturer-stated productivity of 2,700m² per hour.
Clearing capability
The BC2601HM is intended for vegetation that can be difficult to manage with a conventional lawn mower. Billy Goat states that the fixed-deck BC Series can cut thick brush, grass and weeds over 180cm tall, along with saplings up to 5cm in diameter. This makes the machine relevant to clearing overgrown fields, meadows and trails or paths.
Its 26-inch cutting width provides a broad working pass, and the manufacturer lists productivity of 2,700m² per hour. Actual output will depend on vegetation and working conditions.
Drive and operator controls
Self-propelled drive reduces the need to push the machine through rough or overgrown areas. The geared transmission provides three forward speeds and one reverse gear, giving the operator a choice of travel speed and a reverse option when manoeuvring.
The wide, ergonomically angled handles have padded grips and guards, with forward and reverse drive controls operated from the handles.
Fixed deck and cutting height
The rigid fixed rear-discharge deck is designed to remain stable in deep vegetation. The cutting height is fixed at 9.5cm, so it is not adjustable to suit different mowing heights. A blade spindle reinforced in four directions is specified for durability in harsh cutting conditions.
