Overview

The Billy Goat BC2600ICH is a self-propelled walk-behind brushcutter for tackling tall grass, dense brush, brambles and saplings up to 5 cm in diameter. Its 66 cm pivoting deck follows uneven ground, while the hydrostatic transmission and handle-mounted controls give the operator variable forward and reverse speed without shifting. With a 389 cc, 12.5 HP E Series MOD21 engine, it is suited to clearing and maintaining overgrown fields, meadows, trails and paths.

Key Features

  • 66 cm pivoting mower deck with 12° movement in either direction and return-to-neutral action.
  • 389 cc Briggs & Stratton E Series MOD21 engine, rated at 12.5 HP.
  • Self-propelled drive with variable hydrostatic transmission.
  • Automatic Controlled Traction responds to rear-wheel slip.
  • Handle-mounted padded controls let the operator adjust forward and reverse speed without shifting.
  • Designed for tall grass, dense brush, brambles and saplings up to 5 cm in diameter.
  • Reinforced blade spindle and wide tractor tyres for demanding cutting conditions and traction.
  • Manufacturer-listed productivity of up to 2,700 m² per hour.

Cutting over uneven ground

The 66 cm deck pivots by 12° in either direction and returns to neutral, allowing it to follow changes in ground level. This helps reduce scalping on uneven terrain and keeps machine weight on the drive wheels to support traction. Billy Goat describes the pivoting-deck BC26 design as combining higher blade-tip speed with ground-following movement to support cutting speed and quality.

Rubber trim at the rear of the deck is intended to improve stump clearance when reversing. The fixed cutting height is 9.5 cm.

Drive and operator control

The hydrostatic transaxle provides variable forward and reverse travel. Padded controls mounted at the handle allow speed to be feathered without shifting, helping the operator adjust movement to suit the terrain and vegetation.

Automatic Controlled Traction reacts to rear-wheel slip, while wide tractor tyres are fitted to provide traction and pulling power.

For demanding property and grounds work

The BC2600ICH is designed for clearing overgrown areas where tall grass, dense brush, brambles or saplings make routine mowing unsuitable. It is relevant to property owners, land managers and grounds maintenance operators maintaining fields, meadows, trails and paths.

Billy Goat has produced specialist turf and property-care equipment for more than 50 years, with its range serving residential, commercial and municipal property-care applications.
