Overview

The EGO CS2000E is a 50cm cordless chainsaw for cutting thick branches and larger logs up to 50cm. Its brushless motor, variable-speed control and chain speed of up to 25m/s provide a capable setup for demanding cutting tasks around rural properties, estates and managed grounds. Part of EGO’s 56V ARC Lithium™ tool platform, the CS2000E combines a long cutting bar with practical operating features including an LCD display, LED light and metal bumper spikes. Automatic chain oiling supports cutting performance, while the oil-level window makes it easier to check the reservoir.

Cutting performance and control

The 50cm cutting setup is designed for larger logs up to 50cm and thick branches. Variable-speed control lets the operator adjust chain operation to suit the task, with a maximum chain speed of 25m/s.

Metal bumper spikes help stabilise the saw against the timber during cutting. The chain brake is designed to reduce kickback risk; always follow the operating and safety instructions when using a chainsaw.

Display and practical features

The LCD display provides a real-time view of battery charge level, selected speed setting and chain-brake status. An LED light helps when working in low-light conditions, and the oil-level inspection window allows the operator to check the chain-oil reservoir.

EGO 56V battery platform

The CS2000E is part of EGO’s 56V ARC Lithium™ cordless platform. EGO states that its 56V batteries work across the EGO Power+ 56V tool range, excluding robotic mowers. Battery runtime varies with the battery used and working conditions.

For reference, EGO quotes up to 110 cuts per charge in 10cm x 10cm timber with a 5Ah BA2800T battery. Other stated results range from up to 55 cuts with a 2.5Ah BA1400T to up to 270 cuts with a 12Ah BA6720T, using the same test timber. These are manufacturer figures under the stated conditions, not guaranteed results for every job.

Warranty

EGO provides a five-year domestic warranty and a two-year professional warranty for the CS2000E, subject to the manufacturer’s applicable warranty terms.
