Cutting performance and setup

The CSX3000 is supplied with a 30cm cutting setup. EGO also lists compatible 35cm and 40cm setups, providing options for different cutting requirements. The listed setups use a 3/8-inch pitch and 1.1mm gauge chain: the 30cm setup uses the AC1200 chain and AG1200 bar, the 35cm setup uses AC1401 and AG1401, and the 40cm setup uses AC1601 and AG1601.

Controls, indicators and chain care

Variable-speed control lets the operator vary chain speed to suit the cutting task. The mechanical and electronic chain-brake system is designed to reduce kickback risk. Automatic worm-drive oiling is adjustable, and the oil-level indicator helps the operator check the 200ml reservoir. A separate battery-level indicator provides an alert when approximately 10% power remains.

Battery system and working setup

The CSX3000 is part of EGO’s PRO X range and uses EGO’s 56V ARC Lithium battery platform. EGO states that its 56V batteries work across the Power+ tool range, including PRO X tools.
