The EGO CSX5000 PRO X is a 50cm rear-handle cordless chainsaw designed for professional users and demanding ground-saw work. Cutting performance and setup

The CSX5000 offers selectable chain speeds of 20, 25 and 30 m/s, with variable speed control to adjust operation to the task. Its full-chisel chain options can be configured with 40cm, 45cm or 50cm cutting setups. The specified combinations are 16-inch AC1635 chain with AK1635 kit, 18-inch AC1835 chain with AK1835 kit, or 20-inch AC2035 chain with AK2035 kit; all use a 0.325-inch pitch and 1.3mm gauge. The listed 50cm setup uses 80 drive links.

The manufacturer quotes up to 55 cuts with a BA1400T 2.5Ah battery, up to 90 with a BA2242T 4Ah, up to 110 with a BA2800T 5Ah, up to 130 with a BA3360T 6Ah, up to 165 with a BA4200T 7.5Ah, up to 175 with a BA4480X 8Ah, up to 220 with a BA5600T 10Ah and up to 265 with a BA6720T 12Ah. Control, balance and operation

A built-in display gives the operator a view of the oil level, battery capacity and adjustable speed. The centrally positioned battery is designed to improve balance for both vertical and horizontal cutting. Automatic chain oiling is adjustable via a worm drive, allowing oil delivery to be set to suit operating requirements.

The saw has both mechanical and electronic chain brakes. Its 6.2kg weight is stated without a battery, and manual chain tensioning is specified. The integrated Bluetooth Low Energy module makes the chainsaw IoT-ready.

EGO 56V battery compatibility

The CSX5000 uses EGO's 56V ARC Lithium battery system. EGO states that its 56V batteries work across the Power+ 56V tool range, including PRO X tools; robotic mowers are excluded from this battery system. Battery compatibility makes the saw relevant to professional users already operating compatible EGO 56V equipment.

The CSX5000 has a 5-year domestic warranty and a 3-year professional warranty, subject to EGO's applicable warranty terms. The separate domestic and professional periods are important when choosing a saw for commercial use.
