A blade-tip protector helps guard the end of the blade during use.

Cutting performance and handling

The 51cm blade gives a practical working length for maintaining narrower hedges, while the 25mm gap is suited to growth with thicker stems. Laser-cut, diamond-ground blades are designed for clean, precise cutting. The dual-action cutting system and single knife edge provide the HT2000E's specified cutting arrangement.

At 2.8kg without the battery, the trimmer's weight is worth considering when assessing comfort for your typical hedge-maintenance tasks. It has a single-speed setting and a fixed handle rather than a rotating handle.

Cordless battery platform

The HT2000E operates on EGO's 56V ARC Lithium™ battery platform. EGO states that its 56V batteries work across the EGO Power+ 56V tool range, including PRO X tools; robotic mowers are excluded from this battery system. Battery inclusion is not stated here, so check the product configuration when ordering.
