Reach and cutting control

Fitted to the PPX1000 telescopic pole, the PSX2500 gives a total length adjustable between 1.4 and 4 metres. This reach is intended for pruning high branches without additional access equipment. The attachment is designed for branches up to 200mm in diameter.

Variable-speed control lets the operator regulate the saw while cutting, and bumper spikes provide additional control. The 25cm bar runs at a chain speed of 22m/s.

PRO X pole system and battery platform

The PSX2500 is an attachment rather than a standalone pole saw: it requires the EGO PRO X PPX1000 telescopic pole. The PRO X system also supports quick changes between pruning-saw and hedge-trimmer attachments, making it relevant to professional users who need different pole-working functions.

EGO states that its 56V ARC Lithium batteries work across its 56V tool range, including PRO X tools. Battery runtime depends on the battery used and working conditions.

Cutting capacity and warranty

EGO quotes up to 110 cuts in 10cm x 10cm timber with a 2.5Ah BA1400T battery. Other quoted results range from up to 182 cuts with a 4Ah battery to up to 1,280 cuts with a 28Ah BAX1500. These are manufacturer figures for the stated batteries and timber size; results will vary with the material and operating conditions.

The PSX2500 has a 5-year domestic warranty and a 3-year professional warranty, subject to the manufacturer's applicable terms.
