Overview

The EGO PS1000E telescopic pole saw is designed for pruning high branches from ground level, with a lightweight carbon-fibre shaft and a cutting head that can be extended to reach up to approximately 4m when configured with one extension pole. Its brushless motor, 25cm bar and variable-speed control give the operator control over cutting, while automatic chain tensioning and chain oiling simplify routine adjustments and lubrication.

Key Features

• 25cm bar with a chain speed of 20m/s.
• Lightweight carbon-fibre shaft; tool weight is 4.25kg without a battery.
• Telescopic reach of 296cm, extending to 396cm with one extension pole.
• Brushless motor positioned at the cutting head to support balance and ergonomics.
• Automatic chain tensioning and chain oiling.
• Variable-speed control for adjusting cutting operation.
• Branch-grabbing hook and LED cutting guide.
• Five-year domestic and two-year professional manufacturer warranties, subject to applicable terms.

Reach and practical operation

The telescopic shaft provides a tool length of 296cm, or 396cm when used with one extension pole, giving a reach of approximately 4m. This makes the PS1000E useful for pruning high branches from the ground without additional access equipment.

A branch-grabbing hook helps engage branches during pruning, while the LED cutting guide assists with aligning the cut. The motor is positioned at the cutting head to support balance and ergonomics during operation.

Cutting and maintenance features

The 25cm bar runs at a chain speed of 20m/s. Variable-speed control lets the operator adjust the cutting operation to suit the task. Automatic chain tensioning allows chain adjustment without tools, and automatic chain oiling supplies lubrication during use. The oil reservoir holds 80ml.

The PS1000E uses a ¼-inch pitch chain with a 1.1mm gauge and 56 drive links. Its specified cutting setup uses an AC1000Q semi-chisel chain and AG1000Q bar.

Battery performance

EGO quotes up to 100 cuts in 10cm x 10cm timber with a 2.5Ah BA1400T battery. With a 5Ah BA2800T battery, the stated figure is up to 200 cuts in the same test material. Actual results depend on working conditions.

Warranty

The EGO PS1000E has a five-year domestic warranty and a two-year professional warranty, subject to the manufacturer's applicable warranty terms.
