Blade and cutting control

The 66cm blade provides a long cutting reach across the hedge face. Its laser-cut, diamond-ground edges are designed for clean, precise cutting, while the 30mm gap and 20mm tooth depth describe the spacing and depth of the blade teeth.

Dual-action cutting uses opposing blade movement, and the rear handle can be turned 45° or 90° in either direction. This lets the operator adjust hand position for different cutting angles, including when shaping the sides or top of a hedge.

Motor, battery and runtime

A brushless motor drives the trimmer at a single no-load speed of 3,400rpm. The HT2600E uses EGO’s 56V ARC Lithium™ battery platform, so it can be powered by compatible batteries from the EGO Power+ 56V tool range.

EGO quotes runtimes of up to 60 minutes with a 2.5Ah BA1400T battery, 90 minutes with a 4Ah BA2242T, 120 minutes with a 5Ah BA2800T, 145 minutes with a 6Ah BA3360T, 180 minutes with a 7.5Ah BA4200T, 192 minutes with an 8Ah BA4480X, 240 minutes with a 10Ah BA5600T and 270 minutes with a 12Ah BA6720T. These are maximum quoted figures for the specified batteries; actual runtime depends on the battery and working conditions.
